SMS Consent & Messaging Policy
Last updated: April 2026
Fairway Ops LLC ("Fairway Ops", "we", "us") operates AI front-desk phone agents for golf instruction businesses ("coaches"). This page is the public Call-to-Action (CTA) artifact for our A2P 10DLC SMS program. It explains exactly how end-user consent is collected, what messages are sent, message frequency, and how to opt out.
1. Program summary
- Brand: Fairway Ops LLC
- Use case: Low-volume transactional
- Message types: Lesson-inquiry confirmation, booking link, optional follow-up from the coach to confirm a scheduled appointment
- Message frequency: 1–3 messages per inquiry. Recipients typically receive one (confirmation) or two (one confirmation plus one follow-up). Frequency does not exceed roughly five messages per recipient per month.
- Marketing or promotional SMS: None. We do not send marketing, promotional, sweepstakes, or affiliate messages.
2. How consent is collected
Consent is collected verbally, during a live inbound phone call initiated by the prospective student. Students dial the coach's published business number — for example, the public Fairway Ops demo number (909) 321-9958, or any number individually assigned to a coach using our service. Each coach publishes their own AI front-desk number on their own marketing channels (website, Google Business Profile, business cards, etc.) and consent is captured on calls to those numbers.
Before any SMS is sent, the AI agent explicitly asks one of the following verbatim questions:
"Is it okay if I text you the booking link at this number?"
"Want me to text you a confirmation and the booking link?"
"Can I send you a quick text with the booking link so you have it?"
The agent then waits for an explicit affirmative response. A text message is sent only after the caller answers affirmatively. Examples of accepted affirmative responses:
- "Yes" / "Yeah" / "Yep" / "Yes please"
- "Sure" / "Sure, that works" / "Of course"
- "Go ahead" / "Please do" / "Sounds good"
- "That's fine" / "Okay"
If the caller declines, asks to be called instead, gives an ambiguous answer, or does not respond, no SMS is sent. The lesson inquiry is still recorded and forwarded to the coach by email; the coach can then follow up by their preferred channel (phone, email) without triggering any automated text.
3. Recording & consent retention
Calls are recorded with disclosure to the caller at the start of the call. The portion of the recording capturing the consent question and the caller's affirmative response is retained for seven (7) years as proof of consent. We will produce the relevant excerpt within five (5) business days of a written request from a carrier auditor, regulator, or recipient, sent to team@getfairwayops.com.
4. Sample messages
The first SMS sent after verbal consent is captured:
Fairway Ops: Hi Mason, confirming your lesson inquiry with Coach Kevin Sprecher. Book here: https://getfairwayops.com/b/ab12. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Msg&data rates may apply.
Optional follow-up if the coach confirms the requested time:
Fairway Ops: Coach Kevin confirmed Sat 2:00 PM at Sleepy Hollow. See you there. Reply STOP to opt out.
5. Opt-out (STOP) and help (HELP)
Recipients can reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT, or REVOKE at any time to immediately and permanently unsubscribe from all future messages from the sending number. Twilio acknowledges the opt-out automatically with:
You have successfully been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe.
Recipients can reply HELP or INFO at any time for support information. The automated reply is:
Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Msg&Data Rates May Apply.
For human support, email team@getfairwayops.com.
6. Required disclosures
- Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier rates apply to messages sent and received under your wireless plan.
- Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Receiving a lesson booking, scheduling, or coaching service from a Fairway Ops customer never requires you to opt in to SMS. You can decline texts and still book a lesson by phone or email.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Supported carriers: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, and other major U.S. carriers.
7. No data sharing for marketing
Phone numbers collected through this consent flow are used only to deliver the messages described in Section 1. We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers are shared with our messaging service provider (Twilio) solely for the purpose of delivering messages. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
